Over the past 30 years, the management team at Barric has undergone many changes, but the values and ethos at Barric have remained constant. Barric's management team still consists of hands-on professionals, who have daily contact with clients and the factory floor, ensuring customer projects are on track and in safe hands.

Karl Hain (Managing Director)

Karl has worked at Barric since 1980, originally as an engineer working on the development and manufacture of optical scanning systems. In 1992 Karl was jointly responsible with Mike Bayley for setting up Barric's surface mount manufacturing department and the surface mount rework and repair laboratory.

Over the years, Karl has been instrumental in ensuring that Barric maintains its lead in this area, with expertise in such areas as BGA placement and rework, automated optical inspection and RoHS compliance. Karl has worked closely with many of the world's leading edge technology suppliers, ensuring that Barric has the technology and expertise to meet their future requirements.

Mike Bayley (Business Development Director)

Mike studied electronics before starting work as an engineer with Xenotron. Xenotron developed and manufactured a range of Video Composition Terminals for the world's printing industry.

As a Senior Engineer, Mike covered hardware support for customers in Europe, Israel and the US. Mike went on to join Barric as Technical Director and worked with Karl to develop and establish Barric's expertise in surface mount manufacturing technology.

Since this time, Mike and Karl have worked closely to adopt such technologies as Automated Optical Inspection systems, surface mount rework technolgies and 3D X-ray inspection, ensuring that Barric maintains its lead in electronic manufacture.

Mike was also responsible for Barric's quality control policy and the attainment of BS5750 and other such standards, as well as working once again with Karl to prepare for the adoption of RoHS compliant manufacturing facilities and systems. As Sales Director, Mike works closely with Barric's new and existing clients to ensure that Barric offers the best services available within the industry.

Patrick Kibble (Business & Finance Director)
Patrick originally trained as an Accountant working within an established firm of accountants and working with companies with multi-million pound turnovers in a variety of industries. This early experience provided Patrick with a valuable insight into how to manage and grow successful companies.
Patrick went on to join Barric in November 2000 as Company Accountant and has played an important role in helping to restructure Barric in response to its growth and success.
